
Adeline Kuo
Adeline has practiced as a Supply Chain/Logistics Consultant for many Fortune 500 companies, with a specialty in solving Scheduling and Inventory problems. Adeline was Vice President of Product, Operations, and Data Analytics at GroundLink, a luxury car service company, where she was instrumental in completely overhauling operations, pricing, and dispatching in order to increase revenues, margins, and customer and driver satisfaction. Most recently, Adeline worked for Shopify Logistics, increasing 2-day deliveries from 30% to over 70% in the first 6 months.
Adeline graduated from MIT where she was captain of the Indoor and Outdoor Track teams. As a math and finance major, she was putting her logistics skills to good use by helping the head coach decide who to enter in which events to maximize scoring potential. She continued her studies at Columbia University and received a Masters in Operations Research.
Kermit Threatte
Kermit is an Analytics professional with 17+ years of consulting experience combined with 5 years of leading corporate Operations Research & analytics teams. Kermit’s consulting experience includes working on all aspects of the retail supply chain, building pricing and revenue systems, and call center scheduling. Highlights include:
- Saving over $60 million annually by improved allocation for an apparel retailer
- Reducing the incidence of long wait times by 95% for a bank call-center without adding staff
- Increasing ROI for several private equity portfolio companies by reducing inventory working capital while maintaining/improving service levels
His corporate experience included leading the Operations Research team at Wayfair and establishing and leading the Operations Research team at Shopify. Each team was tasked with building the core algorithms necessary to run the supply chain efficiently, including purchasing, transportation scheduling, warehouse picking & routing, ocean freight, and parcel carrier selection.
Kermit holds a Master of Science in Operations Research from MIT, an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Business, and a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Systems Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point.


Sam Phinizy
Sam is a software engineer with over a decade of experience in non-profit, corporate data engineering, operations research, and machine learning operations engineering. His work at Mercy Corps was used to drive decision making around humanitarian crises such as the 2019 Ebola outbreak in the DRC and FEMA’s response in Puerto Rico to Hurricane Maria where he developed the first online based relief coordination system. Since 2019, he has worked at a mix of large corporations such as Wayfair and Shopify as well as smaller start-ups in the green tech and mobile telematics space.
Sam holds a Bachelor of Arts in Scenic Design from the University of New Hampshire. He promptly realized theater wasn’t for him and dove into learning as much about software engineering as he could.
